Susan is a founder and co-owner of FBB Capital Partners, a registered investment firm in the Washington Metropolitan Area representing individuals and non-profit organizations. Her firm was selected for excellence as one of 25 firms nation-wide who manage under $500 million in assets by Forbes Magazine in October 2008. As the only firm in the Washington Metropolitan area to make the Forbes list, FBB reflects over twenty years of fee-only service to investors in the area. Susan prides herself on being an early adaptor and is one of the first five Certified Financial Planners in the Washington Metro Area.
A regular commentator on CNN, CNBC, Forbes on Fox, and Bloomberg Radio Susan speaks often to Washington area organizations about investing, philanthropy, and business leadership. She has been a member of the Washington business community since 1964 when she returned to the city after college. An Army brat, she calls DC home having lived there as a toddler and returned to graduate from Western High School (-now Duke Ellington) in 1957. Susan has been quoted in Business Week and, the Wall Street Journal. In addition, she was named one of the Outstanding Women of America.
Active and passionate about her interests. Susan sits on two Boards: Wilson College, her alma mater, and Heifer International. In 1999 she endowed the Richard Alsina Fulton Center for Sustainable Living in memorial to her husband. The 50-acre farm hosts the international CSA program and serves as a resource for hands-on education regarding environmental issues and solutions. She is a member of Rachel's Network and has interests in the Rare Breeds Conservancy at the Smithsonian, and in the Chesapeake Bay conservation through Horn Point Labs on the Eastern Shore.

Mitch joined FBB Capital Partners in 2002 as its chief investment officer. Before joining the firm, he was a Managing Director at Riggs & Co., the trust and investment management division of Riggs Bank in Washington, D.C. Prior to Riggs, Mitch worked in the private wealth management area at Goldman, Sachs & Co., managing investment portfolios for family groups. He also coordinated the firm's regional volunteerism efforts, working with organizations such as Junior Achievement and Habitat for Humanity.
Mitch received an MBA with High Distinction from the University of Michigan, and has an undergraduate degree in finance, cum laude, from the California State University. He has also received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Between his graduate and undergraduate studies, Mitch worked for five years as an investment analyst at Teledyne in Los Angeles, California, where he managed the company's money-market investments, traded bonds for its retirement plans, and analyzed equity securities.
Mitch is presently a Director and Treasurer of the Legal Resource Center on Violence Against Women, a non-profit organization in the Washington DC area.

Sandy joined FBB Capital Partners in 2001 as a portfolio manager. She previously worked at Marriott International for over twenty years where she supervised the external investment managers for the company's 401(k) plan. She first began her multi-faceted career in the investment business in 1971 when she started working at a brokerage firm.
She holds a BS from the University of Maryland and, is a licensed CPA and Certified Financial Planner certificant. Although not a practicing CPA, she keeps her CPA credential current by fulfilling her educational credits and is the in-house tax guru for the firm.
A native Washingtonian, Sandy lives in Kensington. She is an active member of her parish's endowment advisory board and remains committed to the parish grade school that she attended years ago. She is an avid sports fan and golfer. Her most recent project is mastering the piano; she arises at 6 every morning to practice!

David re-joined FBB Capital Partners in 2003 as a Portfolio Manager. The firm previously employed him in 1998 while he pursued his MBA at The George Washington University in finance and investments.
After receiving his MBA, David joined Rydex Investments where his responsibilities included managing five U.S. sector funds and two international funds. David was actively involved in the launch and management of the Rydex Series Trust Equal Weight ETF. He was also a team member and worked on the design, implementation, and management of the Rydex Core Equity Fund. He has appeared on CNBC and Forbes on Fox, and has been quoted at CBS MarketWatch.com and Business Week Online.
David and his wife Pam are theater enthusiasts and are active in the arts community. They are proud parents of Jackson and Ella and live in Germantown, Maryland.

A native of northern Virginia, Maggi is married to Pete, an active duty Marine Corps officer. They are the parents of Kate and Jack. She resides with her family in the home she grew up in Falls Church, Virginia.
Business partners since 2000, Maggi and Kathleen Hastings manage the FBB Capital Partners office in McLean, Virginia. With over three decades of combined experience in the securities industry, they work together to help sophisticated investors manage diversified portfolios. Both are Certified Financial Planner certificants.
Maggi and Kathleen previously worked at Charles Schwab & Co where they advised clients in the managed portfolio and affluent investor area.

Kathleen and her husband of 31 years, a retired Navy pilot, enjoy gardening in their suburban Northern Virginia home. They have two grown daughters; one working in London and the other a PhD candidate in developmental psychology/aging at the University of Florida.

Stein joined FBB Capital Partners in 2003. Prior to joining FBB, Stein served as Vice President and Financial Consultant at Charles Schwab & Company in Annapolis, Maryland. While at Schwab, he advised high net worth clients on formulating and executing their investment strategies. In addition to his career at Schwab, Stein worked as a Financial Planner for American Express Financial Advisors where he focused on developing comprehensive financial plans for his clients.
He is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist and Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor. He received his BS degree in Finance from Salisbury University, Perdue School of Business.
Stein lives in Easton, Maryland with his wife Beth, and their children, Lucy and Chase. An Easton native, he opened the FBB Capital Partners office in Easton in 2003 when he joined the firm.

Michael joined FBB Capital Partners as a Portfolio Manager in January 2008.
Michael received an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business. While at Darden, Michael was selected to serve as a senior portfolio manager, responsible for actively managing a portion of the University's endowment. He was also invited to participate in a research elective on ethics and morality that included a select group of students from the Business, Medical, and Law schools.
Prior to pursuing his MBA, Michael was a vice president and financial consultant for Charles Schwab & Company. While at Schwab, he advised high net worth clients on formulating and executing their investment strategies. A certified financial planner, Michael earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and marketing from Ohio Univerity.
Michael, his wife Angela, and their two children, Alina and Nicholas, reside in Rockville, Maryland.

Ellen joined FBB in August 2010 as portfolio manager. As a senior investment professional, Ellen brings more than 20 years of investment management experience analyzing investments and managing investment portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth clients, endowments, pensions and retirement plans, and mutual funds.
Most recently, Ellen was employed at Folger Nolan Fleming Douglas as analyst and portfolio manager. Prior to that, she was senior vice president at Riggs & Company. Ellen was also a portfolio manager/analyst at Pilgrim Baxter & Associates where she managed an all-cap growth equity mutual fund and co-managed two other funds for the firm.
Ellen graduated with High Honors from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey with a BA in business administration and minor in accounting. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst charter.
Ellen has been active in professional investment organizations in Washington, D.C. for many years. She served in several leadership positions for the Washington Association of Money Managers, including president, and she is currently a director of the CFA Society of Washington, D.C.
Ellen is an avid runner and triathlete and competes regularly in these sports. She is a member of the Annapolis Striders and Annapolis Triathlon Club and has served in leadership positions in these organizations.
